What Is PRP / PRF rejuvenation?

  • PRP is obtained by drawing a small amount of your blood, then spinning it in a centrifuge to isolate platelets and growth factors.
  • PRF is a second-generation, more advanced version that releases growth factors more slowly and for a longer duration.

Both methods involve injecting or microneedling the plasma back into targeted areas to stimulate healing, regeneration, and new collagen production.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Plasmolifting and plasmatherapy: what is the fundamental difference?
+
The main difference lies in the concentration of platelets and, as a result, in the final outcome. In both cases, the patient's blood plasma is used, but the method of obtaining it affects its effectiveness. Plasmolifting involves a single centrifugation. The resulting plasma has a low platelet concentration. It saturates the skin with beneficial substances, providing a noticeable but temporary effect, with deep moisturization and tightening (lifting) lasting for about 1-2 weeks. However, this does not trigger powerful, long-lasting rejuvenation processes. Plasmotherapy is a more advanced method. It uses double centrifugation, which allows plasma to be obtained that is maximally enriched with platelets. Such “enriched” material not only improves the appearance of the skin, but also awakens the body's own resources: active collagen production is triggered, launching the mechanisms of natural rejuvenation and regeneration of the skin from within.
How many sessions will be required?
+
PRP therapy is a course of treatment, and the number of sessions is always determined on an individual basis. It depends on the initial condition of the skin, age, severity of problems, and desired results. The first changes are noticeable after the first visit. The skin becomes softer, the tone evens out, a slight glow appears, and wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes become less noticeable. If you are under 30 and are only concerned about minor aesthetic nuances, 12 procedures may be enough to refresh and restore your skin (for example, after active sunbathing). If age-related changes or skin problems (neck, décolleté) are pronounced, cosmetologists recommend a full course of 5-7 sessions. In this case, the effect will accumulate and delight you for up to a year. By the way, during the course, it is better to give up strict diets and provide your body with a balanced diet. The saturation of plasma with platelets directly depends on your diet.
What is prohibited after the procedure?
+
Plasmotherapy is a comfortable procedure that does not require strict rehabilitation and allows you to maintain your usual rhythm of life. It is one of the few injection procedures after which you are unlikely to experience severe discomfort. However, there are still some restrictions. For the first 24 hours, do not wet your face. It is also worth refraining from using decorative and skincare cosmetics. Try to touch your skin with your hands as little as possible. Do not plan any additional cosmetic procedures. The skin needs time to recover so that the result lasts for a long time. A mandatory rule for the entire course and several weeks after it is to apply a cream with a high SPF factor before going outside, regardless of the season and cloudiness.
